Once upon a time there was a poor rabbit with no friends. One day, the rabbit met a cunning fox. The rabbit said to him: I live without friends, how about you be my friend? The fox agreed and a strong friendship was formed between the rabbit and the fox. They ate and played together every day.

All the animals warned the rabbit from the fox because he was a deceitful and hypocritical animal. All the animals advised the rabbit many times to stay away from the fox, but the rabbit did not listen to them and got closer to the fox because he found joy and happiness in this relationship.

One day, the fox came to the rabbit and said to him: Let's catch some fish to eat.

The rabbit said: But we don't have a hook, so how will we catch fish?

At that time, the rabbit had a long tail and small ears. The fox said to him: You will throw your long tail into the lake, and when a fish comes and bites your tail, I will drag you and throw it to the shore. The

rabbit said: Why don't you throw your tail? The fox replied: You have a long tail while my tail is very short, and your tail is soft and beautiful, and it will attract the fish.

The rabbit was convinced by the fox's words and went with him to the lake. When they arrived, the rabbit stood on the shore of the lake and put his tail in the water and the fox started talking to him and saying: We will catch a fish now and you will have the lion's share of the fish.

After a while, the rabbit screamed and said something, grab my tail, the fox said to him, pull your tail to get the fish out and we can eat it. The rabbit tried to pull his tail but couldn't and the fish almost pulled him into the water, so the rabbit said to the fox, it is a giant fish, pull me my friend to the shore or I will drown.

The fox

grabbed the rabbit's ears and pulled him with all his might and the fish grabbed the rabbit's tail and kept pulling with all its might. The rabbit did not fall into the water and the fox was able to pull him, but the rabbit's ears became long and his tail broke off. Since that day the rabbit has been tailless and his ears are long.
